Dr. Dang’s special interests include family eye care and low vision-blind rehabilitation.
Sally H. Dang, O.D.
Dr. Dang brings a diverse educational and clinical background to the cities of Garden Grove. A graduate of Loma Linda University, Riverside, California, she earned her BS in Psychobiology. She went on to earn her doctorate in optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her clinical internships at the New England Eye Institute, the Boston VA Hospital, the Dorchester House Multi-disciplinary Medical Services Clinic in Boston, and the Omni Eye Center in Atlanta.
In addition to her lengthy training in optics, contact lenses, and ocular disease, Dr. Dang’s compassion for the elderly led her toward extensive clinical work in the field of low vision. She received honors for her work at the Low Vision/Vision Rehabilitation Unit at VA Hospital in West Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Dang continued her work with the visually impaired at the Santa Rosa Vision Rehabilitation Clinic in San Antonio, Texas.
Today, Dr. Dang practices the entire breadth of optometry. She is currently working at the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Long Beach, CA where the new Blind Rehabilitation Center is located. Dr. Dang enjoys working with low vision and blind patients along with military veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) from the recent Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.
